Duration: 12 hours (50/50 blended learning, half e-learning and half in house practical)
PHECC First Aid Response Recertification training through Blended eLearning
(please note in house training is available through face to face training)
This blended (online) course is carried out through a combination of eLearning and classroom learning.
Approximately 6 hours on our self learning platform done at your own pace & 6 hours face to face training.
The eLearning must be completed prior to attending the practical training

- Patient assessment
- Incident procedure
- Cardiac First Response (CPR/AED, Heart attack, Stroke and Choking)
- Common Medical emergencies
- Injury Management and Shock
- Care of Unconscious person
- Burns and Electric Injuries
- Hypothermia and Hyperthermia
- Information Management
- Communications
- Well being of First Aid Responder
Prerequisites:
To attend this course, you must have a valid First Aid Response (FAR) certificate
Course Assessment
Following completion of the practical course you will undertake an assessment of knowledge and skills.
This will take the form of: • 20 question MCQ with a pass mark of 60%. If you attain a mark of less than 60%, you will be required to resit the MCQ on a later date. • Practical skills will be assessed by carrying out two practical skills in accordance with PHECC assessment sheets.
Certification
Successful completion of the First Aid Response course leads to joint certification by both PHECC and ProTraining Courses Ireland as an approved training instititute.
Specific Learning Requirements
ProTraining Courses will at all times ensure equality in our service provision. We therefore ask any learner who has specific learning requirements to contact our office on (047) 88598 or at the time of booking the training and we will ensure that all possible measures are taken to meet their specific requirements. All of our training courses are delivered through English and therefore participants must have a good understanding of the English language. In the case where this is not so, learners are permitted to bring an interpreter but prior notice must be given to ProTraining Courses.

Choose a suitable date from the list below for the practical session, ensure that you have enough time to complete the online theory before the practical session Once you have selected your select "Register Individual or Register Group" In the Registraion section you will be then required to add your details and process registration. Upon successful booking, you will receive an order confirmation email, You will then receive a seperate email from Thinkific with your login details to begin your online training. On the Practical Session date, the learner should arrive with proof of online theory completion at the designated location prepared to participate in the hands-on training and assessment.
